Took a day
off of paddling yesterday just to fix a few problems and we’re pretty much back in
business, albeit with a ‘new look’ to our vehicle – ha, ha!
Go down a narrow
creek just five metres wide, the flow’s great, but 15 minutes down I realize it’s
not taking me anywhere good so I turn around and it takes me another 45 minutes
fighting against the current to get back to the Murray. I’ve wasted a whole
hour and loads of energy - damn!
I’m passing
through some high cliffs now, it’s good to have another change of scenery. Another
milestone – it’s two signs, one on either side of the river, but separated by
6km, one signifying the border between South Australia and New South Wales and the
other for SA meeting Victoria. Seems a bit strange that the SA border doesn’t
come straight down across the river but there it is!
Distance paddled: ‘84’ km
